This was lightning in a bottle, and I wish I could recreate it, but it's a one of a kind. This abstract landscape painting was created with an extremely high number of acrylic wash-like layers which I'm calling glazes. These layered glazes allow for transparency all the way down to the very first layer and even to some of the pencil marks made directly on the canvas. It is also highly textured and scratchy with course pumice gel to form the rocks and side of the road. Like most of my work, it is full of rich patterns, colors, and markings. The painting appears to be glowing from within and provides quite a loud pop of color. It looks best on a white or light wall. The edges are thick and painted clean white.
