This was a limited series created around February 14th with the intention of honoring those I love and LOVE IN GENERAL. I also wanted to explore a bright palette, and specifically, a new shade of fluorescent red. It's been a tradition of mine for many, many years to make a big batch of valentines and then send them out in the mail. This year, I did just that and also gave them to my new email list subscribers.

These are small paintings, mostly 4x6 and 5x7, many have collage mixed media elements, and are very playful and intuitive. I did not put much thought into art design concepts like composition or value. I enjoy working small, fast, and in multiples. It really gets the creative flow going - and many times I will discover a color combination or a composition for a larger painting in the future.

With the intention of feeling whole and full of love while making these in a carefree state, I think you can sense those good vibes in many of the final pieces. There are only a few remaining with me. Many are framed on the walls of loved ones near and far, but I think I saved back at least a few to put in my shop. We'll see...
